KnowledgeTree Windows Installer Release Notes

1. Register the standard plugins
-------------------------------- 
In a web browser go to "DMS Administration" , then "Miscellaneous", then "Manage Plugins".
Click "Reread plugins" to load the list of available plugins.
Enable the plugins as required.
 
* Please note: *
Fulltext indexing of files (e.g. checking their contents) needs to be activated from this menu or the full-text search WILL NOT work.
2. Change Default Passwords
---------------------------
***PLEASE CHANGE THESE PASSWORDS AT YOUR EARLIEST CONVINIENCE***
The default web frontend passwords are:
Administrator
-------------
User: admin
Pass: admin
3. Windows XP Firewall
----------------------
During the install of XAMPP when the Apache service is started a Windows Firewall Block popup is normally displayed. In certain cases this popup may only be display during the KnowledgeTree install. Please select the "Unblock" option so Apache can start up and refresh your browser.
4. Browser does not display KnowledgeTree
-----------------------------------------
If you get a browser error please take the following actions...
- Ensure XAMPP is installed.
- Ensure Apache and MySQL are running using the XAMPP Status Manager.
- Uninstall KnowledgeTree and reinstall taking care to provide the correct path, database and password information.
- Check the community websites for known issues, FAQ's, etc. at https://ktdms.com
5. XAMPP Changed to PHP 4 mode
------------------------------
By default XAMPP installs in PHP 5 mode. KnowledgeTree will currently only function with PHP 4. The installer takes the liberty of switching XAMPP to PHP 4 mode. If for some reason you need to change back to PHP 5 please open your browser at http://localhost/xampp/ and click the "PHP Switch" link in the menu. 
6. Installed Indexer Tools
--------------------------
The installer automatically installs xpdf and antiword for you.
