Minimum Hardware Requirements

Hardware requirements may vary based on the number of concurrent users, repository size and system configuration. Larger implementations may require some configuration tuning to perform optimally. KnowledgeTree Commercial Subscribers may contact the KnowledgeTree Support Team for further assistance. It is highly recommended that the hardware be dedicated to running the KnowledgeTree installation

KnowledgeTreeLive is the hosted version of KnowledgeTree Commercial on-premise and requires no server infrastructure. All you will need to connect to your KnowledgeTreeLive account is a modern Internet browser (see 'Supported Internet Browsers'), and suitable software for using the KnowledgeTree client tools with your KnowledgeTreeLive account (see 'KnowledgeTree Client Tools Requirements').

Server

• 2 GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
• 4 GB of system memory OR 2GB above what is needed by the OS and additional software
• 2 GB of storage for the application data (KnowledgeTree requires 1GB to install)
• Repository storage as needed.
• Broadband connection to internal network.
  • Linux based servers require an Internet connection to download from the repositories.
  • Windows systems require an Internet connection to download the MySQL server install. Alternatively, MySQL can be downloaded and installed separately.

Workstations

• 2 GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
• 1 GB of system memory
• 512MB storage space
• Broadband connection to server
